Borrar archivos “temporales o inservibles” del sistema
Llega un momento en que el sistema empieza a tornarse lento, para esto es recomendable borrar lo que no se “ocupa o no sirve”; como hacer esto, pues con BleachBit tenemos una opción bastante fácil de usar.
Ubuntu:
#sudo apt-get install bleachbit -y
fedora:
#su #yum install bleachbit -y
y listo, el programa lo encuentras en las herramientas del sistema, en xubuntu aparecen dos opciones, una es que lo puedes usar como root y la otra como usuario normal; en fedora solo como usuario y si se necesita como root: instalar beesu
#su #yum install beesu -y #beesu bleachbit
Solo resta elegir lo que se quiere eliminar; recuerden que: “con un gran poder, se tiene una gran responsablidad” jejejeje.

Just download the tar.gz file, Right-click it and select “Extract Here”, then run the “InstallXpGnome.sh” by double-clicking it and choosing “Run”!
Changes: Icons, GTK, Metacity, Splash, GDM Theme, Mouse Cursor, Panel Background, Desktop Background, Visible Desktop Icons, Nautilus Tree View, Toolbar to Icons only. Deletes all GNOME Panels and adds a new one at bottom with Start Menu, Show Desktop, Window Switcher, Notification Area, Volume Control and Clock.
Settings are saved and can be reverted by running the Restore_Settings.sh script in the restore folder

How to remove certain Desktop Icons: Open a run window (alt+F2) and type “gconf-editor” it will bring up a window where you can change all these settings. If you browse to Apps->Nautilus->Desktop you can check which icons you want to show

Solo falta agregar que debes tener instalado el paquete ubuntulooks para que todo marche bien ..
sudo aptitude install gtk2-engines-ubuntulooks
y despues despues de descomprimir el ficher xp-gnome .. ejecutes el fichero con permisos de root
sudo sh InstallXpGnome.sh
y listo ..
